OMFA PUBLIC SCULPTURE COLLECTION

Ryan Sculpture Park features a pair on monumental bronze buffalo and a Native American hunter celebrating an ancient buffalo trace, now present day Frederica Street, through which early settlers traveled to the banks of the Ohio River to establish Yellowbanks, the predecessor of Owensboro, KY.

Installed at the front entrance to the Carnegie building is Cor-ten steel sculpture entitled Billow which echoes the esthetic of the Ohio River. The sculpture by Kentuckian Jack Youngerman was exhibited at the Guggenheim Museum in New York, NY and featured at the Summer Olympics in Seoul, Korea.

At the Ninth Street Atrium entrance is a monumental polychrome steel figure, “Little Mo'” by the nationally prominent sculptor Peter Reginato.
