The Divine in Art

The Divine in Art was a survey of art in a religious genre collected or produced in the region in the past century and was presented as a sequel to this museum’s 1986 exhibition and publication, Christianity and the Visual Arts: Kentucky Collections.

It featured more than 150 objects dating from the 15th century to the present and encompassed a broad range of historical periods in a wide variety of media, styles and techniques. The diversity of the objects selected resulted in an exhibition of broad ecumenical appeal.
