“Artful Connections” camp, scheduled June 14-17 will offer experiences in a variety of media and will be led by local artists and educators. Students will explore subjects including landscape, still life, and interior themes as inspired by objects in the current exhibition. Classes will take place in the museum’s Ryan Sculpture Park and in ArtLand, the museum’s interactive art studio. The camp theme is designed to interpret the current exhibition, ARTFUL CONNECTIONS: LOUISVILLE/OWENSBORO a showcase of more than 100 works of art by some of Kentucky’s most accomplished artists and craftsmen.
Selected works from the “Artful Connections” camp will be chosen for display later in the summer in the museum’s Waymond O. Morris Young At Art Gallery.
Morning sessions scheduled 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. are designed for ages 6 to 10 and afternoon classes from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. are planned for ages 11 to 15.
